Today is one of the most important days in the entire two weeks that you’ll be with us! Once you can dig deep and discover why you are jumping into this business, it opens up a whole new roadway for success!! I encourage you to FIND YOUR WHY: write it down, revisit it often, make a video- THIS is what will keep you anchored through the various seasons of this business!

What is it that fuels this passion in you.  Is it your desire to pay off debt, quit your job, not have anxiety of your card being declined at the grocery store, afford for your husband to quit his job...the list goes on and on.

YOUR why is going to inspire others and spark dreams in them!!!!

This business is one part staying committed & another part just doing it! We have so many dreams that we hope for and want to accomplish and 50% is just doing it.

Throughout these next two weeks you are going to discover a lot of things about yourself and about this business.  We are going to have a lot of common threads that motivate us and we will all have differences as well.  But the ONE common thread we all will have is the desire to bring in an income for ourselves and our families.  So let’s talk numbers first.

In this business YOU get to choose your pace, the tone of the business, the vision and the culture!!! YOU set the example for the rest of your builders to follow.  Is it going to be positivity, fun, inclusion, joy, happiness, hope?  A lot of your tone also comes from your drive or your “why” behind doing the business.  Are you determined and hopeful?  Are you sure that you will achieve your dreams?  

Are you filled with belief that it will happen?  This translates in a huge way to your downline and to those you approach about oils and the business.

5 people I want to reach out to about doing this

What language are you using to communicate to others?  Are you filtering your excitement to avoid rejection?  Or are you speaking LIFE and TRUTH to others about how you really feel about the oils and the potential of having them do this business with you?  

GO FOR IT!! BE BOLD!! HAVE COURAGE!!!  SPEAK TRUTH!!! BE UNFILTERED!!! Let us be the first to give you permission to not have fear when you talk to others!

If you feel like fear, rejection and uncertainty is getting in the way of pursuing your dreams, take heart!!! We all face those too!  It’s now a matter of what you’ll do with those thoughts.  Cast them aside because those fears aren’t true! BELIEVE THAT!! They’re just not true!  Pray for wisdom to know what is the root behind these things and ask for the truth to replace it.  Pull out those roots, because when roots are exposed to light and air after being in the dark they can no longer live!!!! Pull them out, squash them, then stand over them with confidence in your new found wisdom!!!

As you set out building your business and growing your team, it is important to recognize and be aware that the words you choose and the actions you take is setting the bar for your team's culture, and also the culture you represent being a part of this team!  Because of how this business is set up, we want to challenge you to ask yourself “would I want 100 more of me’s on my own team?” because inevitably we will duplicate ourselves as we build this business. Which WOW talk about opportunity and accountability! 

We want to give you permission now to dream. To be a visionary, and to paint a picture for us of where you see yourself going, and how you will set culture and influence the people that sign up under you.

Myth Busting: "I don’t want to buy from a Multi level Marketing Company. I've heard that they're a scam."

A scam is “a dishonest scheme or fraud”. There is nothing fraudulent about a MLM. Everything about the business structure is forthcoming and honest. When you take a look at their compensation plan, you can see where each of your dollars go.

When you are purchasing anything from any MLM, what you are doing is not only supporting the company that made a product, but you’re also supporting your friend.

You’re buying local. 
You’re helping pay for a little girl’s ballet classes, and supper for a family. You’re investing in that little boy’s college fund and school supplies for him. You’re supporting families that you know and so many that you don’t!

An MLM uses the costs that a company would normally use for marketing and gives it to families so they can build their own dreams and create a business for themselves. It is so far beyond paying big bucks to top level execs, but gives everyone an opportunity to create an income for themselves!

Buying from your friend instead of another random company is the biggest investment into them to say, “I believe in you”.

In the same way you get to set the tone of your business, you also get to SHARE in your own way! We have each been blessed with unique skill sets and giftings.  Some of you might be all over social media, with tons of likes and followers. You may have the gift of taking beautiful photos and writing clever captions. Then some of you may have the gift of conversation and are be able to talk to a brick wall. People are drawn to you when you speak and they truly listen and believe all that you say. Others of you might be the ULTIMATE party planner with every ounce of your blood full of creative juices. You thrive off of hosting things at your house or planning the cutest events. Or you are hilarious and full of life that people love to watch your live videos, no matter what you are discussing. 

Each of these things can be HUGE and SO IMPORTANT when it comes to your business… if it is YOUR thing. But just because your oily bestie is instafamous, doesn’t mean that you have to be. Just because that royal crown diamond you watched a video on throws amazing parties, doesn’t mean you have to. Use your gifts. Find your strengths. STAY IN YOUR LANE. Each of us can run this business alongside each other but in our own lane, doing it our own way. THAT is the beauty of this. How freeing to know that we don’t have to fit into some cookie cutter mold?!

In the same way we all have our own strengths in sharing, we also have unique personalities. Some of us are drawn to information and we love research. Some of us just want to have fun with whatever we are doing. Others of us crave relationship with others. Understanding what drives and motivates you as well as what drives and motivates your team is so crucial!

Myth Busters: "Can't I just buy Essential Oils at Whole Foods or WalMart?"

Essential oils are not regulated therefore companies can put any filler or additive into what they call an “essential oil”. Most of what you will find at the grocery store is either another ingredient altogether or has toxic fillers in it.

When you are using essential oils on your body for any reason related to health or skincare, it is very dangerous to use these types of oils and can actually bring more harm. You can have reactions to these types of oils and they can make conditions worse.

Young Living has rigorous testing and standards for their oils.

No fillers are ever added to Young Living’s oils and no toxins are present. In fact, they don’t even use pesticides or herbicides on their crops or soil so that toxins won't be present. Anything that comes from a farm outside of Young Living’s farms must meet these strict standards as well. 

You can visit the Young Living farms anytime you want and see their methods of growth and testing. That’s how open they are about their purity.

It is SO IMPORTANT that we start with our "HOT LIST" first....meaning people who KNOW us and have been watching us for years.

Meaning for years and years you have been building relationships and trust with people so when you decide to pursue this as a business your years of relationships will come back around. People know they can trust you! 

"You HAVE to make it happen, it's not "just going to happen. No excuses, guys. Stop "wishing," "dreaming," "believing" and "trying." 

Do something.

We deceive ourselves if we think that we can sit back and "wish" and "hope" for something to happen. Our desires MUST spill over into action.

Don't use any of these as an excuse to avoid the things you know you need to be doing! We will mess up when we "do" things - but you know what? It's OK! If you make a mistake, learn from it, move on, do it better the next time! So, what are you going to DO today?!"

There are SO many ways to share about Young Living.

It has honestly become so organic for me. I share about what has changed for our family in different conversations every day - not to talk about the business or to make a sale - just in talking about our own health and wellness. Think about how many times you talk to friends about various issues... these conversations so often come just from people seeing the changes in your family. I like to break down the ways we can share into three different categories...

ONE ON ONES. These are intentional times you get together with a family member, a friend, a friend of a friend, whoever! You share about the oils. You present the starter kit, you share your personal story. This is truly simple ­ and the more simple the better! I have never had anyone use oils and say "these don't work", or "they're not for me." Sometimes people will wait to purchase for financial reasons, or wanting to do more research, but you are always planting seeds.

 

 

 

 

 

MAKE AND TAKES: These are just like a one on one but with more people! Invite your friends and their friends over to your home to get some oils in their hands. Pick a recipe (rollers are a favorite!) and let your people experience the oils. This is such a great way to widen your circle. When friends sign up, you can offer to do the same party with THEIR circle of friends. Continue touching lives and sharing what you're passionate about! Your VO (virtual office) is the HUB of your business. It is where you can place quick orders, modify your essential rewards, check your PV and your team’s OGV, make sure your member’s orders have gone through, check your shipping statuses and MORE! It is crucial that you understand how to use your VO and how to use it to it’s fullest potential! It is very well organized and easy to use, with many resources at your fingertips.

Take time to watch the two videos listed below and then log into your own VO and make friends with it! 

Some helpful things to know when looking at "My Organization" and what is required of each of us, how our team is growing, etc. 

OGV: Overall gross volume (your purchase plus every single person's purchase under you forever.) 

PV: Your personal volume spent. As builders we each need to spend 100 PV (or more) a month. 

In general, PV is equal to dollar amount. You will see some items like diffusers, accessories, etc. are less of a PV value than the dollar amount. 

PGV: This is needed from Silver +. This is the amount of OGV on your FRONT LINE, not in your legs. So, your PV plus anyone else's PV who are not in your two qualifying legs for Silver (2 legs at 4,000). This is required for every rank Silver and up (Gold 3 legs at 6,000 etc!)

Essential rewards (ER) is like GOLD for your businesses for so many reasons.

  • Your members will get amazing benefits like points back and free product when they place their orders through essential rewards. It is also completely customizable, which is very rare when it comes to monthly autoship programs. We are putting them at a HUGE disadvantage if we don’t explain and educate them on this.

  • Also, ER ensures that you maintain your ranks and hit your goals because if people are enrolled in ER, that means they are ordering each month, which means your OGV will keep climbing, which means your businesses will keep growing!

  • Through ER people can replace the products they would buy at the grocery store and buy the clean versions. So it won’t hurt their budget because they are just spending their money on better products and supporting a better company :)

When you are educating your members about all of the amazing products YL has to offer, then they will WANT these things and ER will be the perfect choice for them. Share with them what you use and why, and share often. Utilize our product groups! Your people want to hear from you.

And if you are not on ER yourself, you NEED to be. Not only is it a huge advantage for you personally, as you are going to receive the points back and free product, but it will set the example and tone for your own team. It is a great place to start when investing in your business. Many of us use our ER points to get the products that we share with others or give to our teams as giveaways. When you place a monthly ER order, it allows you to try new products each month so you can share your personal experiences with others. Make sure you’re inviting people personally and based on their interests
Make sure your downline know about classes and know how to invite others
Make sure your downline knows you will teach for them.
Attend and take guests to corporate events and other opportunities in your area.
Incentives: ( more on this in a future day)
You may feel like you’re not ready for this investment yet. I wasn’t either. But I did it and poured everything I made (and more at times) into providing the resources that my team needed. 
Resources = Success Stories = Testimonies = Sharing = Growth
Give away compliant books for new sign ups, those who set up ER accounts, and those who achieve business goals. 
Give away kits or oils to those who sign up 5 or 10 this month. 
Promise a Zyto scanner or other tool to those who reach a certain rank or OGV
THIS WILL PAY OFF. You are giving tools that help their businesses, and yours, to grow exponentially. Think LONGTERM.

COMPLIANCE & SHARING THE RIGHT WAY! 

 This is CRUCIAL when sharing online! We need to lead with compliance so that OUR LEADERS, in turn, lead with compliance! 

It is always safe to say what you did with your oils, NOT safe to say what they did for you! 

For example... Compliant: I put two drops of tummygize on my son's stomach this morning. NOT compliant: Stomach bug completely gone after using tummygize on my son's stomach this morning. Also, when sharing on social media, watch your hashtags! 

Avoid these words as well: allergies, cuts and scrapes, depression, anxiety, sleep aids, holistic, apothecary, headaches, cramps, fever, acid reflux, burns, bruises, insect repellent, acid reflux, anti-inflammatory, etc.

Sowing Seeds

Make a list of 50 people you want to share a Young Living product with in order to improve their wellness. 

+Go down the list. Mark anyone you haven't had recent contact with and it would be odd to contact them out of the blue. Work first on reconnecting that relationship. NOT to get an enrollment but to begin again investing in and knowing that other person. Relationship first. Business second and only as it can help him or her. Mark anyone that falls into this category with "Reconnect" and the date you reached out and began doing that in some way. As you develop connection and there is genuine opportunity, they can be moved into the next group.

+Now move to those you do have contact with and begin reaching out to them with the reason you thought of them and the product you wrote next to their names. Be specific, personal, caring, and make it all about them, not you. Ask questions and listen to the answers. As you continue to reach out, write next to their names the date you had contact and any notes you need. Tell stories, share results, not facts. Be vulnerable with your journey as they ask questions.

+Anyone who does express immediate interest in what you share, follow up quickly by inviting to a class or helping them to enroll either retail or wholesale to try this product.

+Here's how this will work in the future. Odds are high that eventually all 50 of these people on your list will begin using oils if you care enough to be patient and make it all about their needs. Because we all know these products help everyone. So don't let this become about the immediate present. Let it become about investments. Slow and fast returns. Patience and true caring. THESE are the types of connections that create priority and interest that leads to attendance at your in-person and online classes. Not the thrown out, blanket invitations. These specific conversations then allow you to invite them very personally to your next event, to coffee, or to your Facebook class saying, "Remember that conversation? I thought of you and wanted you here to see if this can help your family like it has mine." 

+When you have contacted each of your 50 people and taken any notes needed, send me your list once again with these notes added. You are again on my Dead Serious list and will be contacted with special offers and added assignments! And by all means, keep adding people to this list as you think of them! 100, 150, 200 people??? The more, the merrier, and it will help you as we continue.

If you want a giant harvest, you must first plant the seeds. 
Good seed in soil that has been faithfully prepared. 
This was the heart of how this team began. 
This lead to the quick success we saw. 
This is still right there for you. 

Will you sow faithfully?

Types of Leaders

Today is all about the type of commitment that spurs on great leaders in Network Marketing!! Not only that but also the type of commitment to look for in other people coming under you. There are generally 3 types of attitudes going into accomplishing this business….

1.I’ll try
2.I’ll do the best I can
3.I’ll do whatever it takes

 

Now is a good time to think about what type of mindset you’re going to have after you leave bootcamp. If you choose to fully commit and do whatever it takes, it will project you to great heights in this business. You will be able to see around the roadblocks, you will be able to push past fears, you will be able to lead in the midst of drama.

With this mindset you will think about “How can I be apart of the solution?” in every situation. You will be able to take responsibility all along the way for every rank and every step not pointing fingers at others as the reason behind why you haven’t made a rank or why you haven’t grown. Instead you will be looking to yourself as someone who can find and work towards each and every goal! You will be squashing all fears underneath your feet, walking forward and saying, “I am committed despite my fears, my circumstances, and others around me! I am choosing to do whatever it takes to create an income for my family.”

If you aren’t to #3 yet, that’s okay. Search within yourself to figure out why. Is it fear? Time restraints? Do you WANT to be at #3 but you’re not sure how to get there? Pray for wisdom and ask the Lord what is it that’s holding you back! Pray for wisdom on how to get around what it is that’s holding you. Then put that beneath your feet and keep walking towards your dream until you get to #3! You really can conquer that *thing* that is holding you back. We are here to lead you in truth to do that!

INCENTIVES are HUGE for you as a business builder.

After doing this for over a year all different kinds of incentives work differently for different builders- so while one thing could be HUGE for someone, it may not be a hit for someone else...you have to find what works for you and focus there!

A few types of incentives:

1. SIGN UP INCENTIVES- this is something you would offer as an incentive for someone to signup with you for the first time! I always specify ( for example) 
"if you signup wholesale + buy the Premium Starter kit today I will send you a cute oils pouch! "
// Only RULES from YL on this is that no signup incentives can be offered the EOPR ( a resource book) and it is generally looked down upon to do cash incentives for new signups. There is also a $25 limit. so No giving away iPhone watches ;)

2. OGV INCENTIVES: you might see us doing incentives that say " anyone who spends 100pv this month gets entered into a giveaway for a Thieves kit!"- this will boost your OGV!

3. ONE ON ONE- This one has worked VERY WELL for me! This is when you are trying to reach a rank and you reach out to your builders as individuals and tailor those incentives especially to them. FOR EXAMPLE, "hey sally- if you can reach 8,000 OGV this month I will send you an Aria diffuser!"

4. PUSH INCENTIVES: this might be a month you need a big push! A great one for this is free shipping! " Anyone that orders 100pv or more today ( not using points) I will reimburse your shipping ( mail shipping only, and US only)"

5. ER INCENTIVE- "if you join ER this month I will send you a bottle of Cedarwood!"

These are some examples to help you think strategically!

Doing vs. the Dreaming.

I hear all the time " I want this but...."

There are sweet mamas with 5-7 children all at home ROCKING this business, homeschool moms, working moms, full time students juggling multiple jobs..... the list goes on.
Change your wording from " we are so busy or I can't do this right now because..." to
" this just isn't the right season for us".

Because the excuses and the belief in your wording can be so toxic- you might actually start to believe that things are slow because it's just not working or because of the busy.

I LOVED how in our Happy Hangout group someone asked Kari about balance and she was like balance?? its about sacrifice!! 

I was up well past midnight last night working away....would I rather put my very pregnant self to bed or stretch out on the couch? OF COURSE!
